Family-owned, locally trusted locksmith serving Burnsville and Western North Carolina

Jack’s Locksmith isn’t named after a man. It’s named after our four daughters — Jade, Amber, Clover, and Kay. They’re the reason we work hard, the reason we stay honest, and the reason every customer gets treated like family. When you call Jack’s, you’re not hiring a franchise. You’re hiring Keith and Emily — and by extension, the girls who taught us everything about what matters.

The Story Behind the Name

Jack’s Locksmith was built from the ground up — 26 years of learning the trade, starting as a working locksmith and growing into a full-service shop in Burnsville, NC. Keith trained under the best in the industry, including Dave McOmie, a member of the Safe & Vault Technicians Hall of Fame. We’ve spent our careers helping people feel safe and secure in their homes, businesses, and vehicles.

The Lure of the Lock

These new locksmiths — I don’t think they understand their job. It’s locks and smithing. They’ve taken the smith out. They started to make a quick buck. They don’t try. They don’t have the lure of the lock.

When I first started and still today, if a lock defeats me I think about it the rest of the day and dream about it at night. You would be surprised what you can figure out in your dreams. 99% of the time I go back the next day problem solved.

That’s the difference between a codesmith and a real locksmith. One plugs into a machine. The other reads the lock.

Our shop is in Burnsville, right on US-19E. From there we serve Yancey, Mitchell, Avery, McDowell, Madison, and Buncombe counties. We’re not a big chain — we’re a family business that treats Western NC like home, because it is.
